We have the pleasure to invite you to participate in the XVIIth Conference of International Society for Posture and Gait Research, which will be held in Marseille from May 29th to June 2nd 2005.
Corseted by a ring of hills, including the Calanques massif, Marseille winds 57 km along the Mediterranean coast. Sunshine is one of the strong assets of its pleasant lifestyle, and the Mistral wind gives it that special light that has inspired many renowned painters such as Cézanne, Braque, Dufy, Derain, and Marquet. The city grew up around the Old-Port, on a body of water tucked into the very inlet where Greek sailors founded the original city in 600 BC.
The meeting will be held in the heart of the city centre, near the Old-Port in the Mercure Eurocenter Hotel connected to the World Trade Center. Both centers are able to accommodate a large audience. Particular care has been taken to reserve a large and easily accessible space for poster viewing. Note that there will be a prize for the best student poster. Gait and Posture will also publish on line all abstracts due around the end of January.
